Royal Copenhagen Rosebud child figurine no. 3009

Royal Copenhagen Rosebud no. 3009 is a classic porcelain figurine with a calm and poetic expression. The figurine depicts a child sitting curled up with its head resting against its arm, while the body is wrapped in a white cloth. This gives the figurine a quiet intimacy and a contemplative mood, making it ideal for those who appreciate child figurines in porcelain with soft shapes and fine modelling.

The motif is delicately designed with a sense for the child's rounded shapes, the relaxed posture and the small details in the hair, where the floral decoration underscores the name Rosebud. The colour scheme in delicate skin tone and white makes the figurine easy to place in the décor, where it fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of Royal Copenhagen figurines.

The figurine is designed by Theodor Madsen for Royal Copenhagen and belongs to the tradition-rich Danish figurative art that many collectors seek out. Child figurines from Royal Copenhagen in particular are popular for their warm expression and solid craftsmanship, and Rosebud no. 3009 has a motif that appears both classic and timeless. The underglaze contributes to the smooth, durable surface and to the refined overall impression that characterises porcelain from Royal Copenhagen.

A porcelain figurine like this adds personality and calm to the home and can also be a thoughtful gift for collectors or for someone who appreciates Danish design and figurative art. It works well on its own, but can also be combined with other child figurines or classic porcelain for a cohesive, harmonious expression.
