Royal Copenhagen dog figurine no. 3169 - sitting puppy

Royal Copenhagen dog figurine no. 3169 is a charming porcelain figurine of a sitting puppy, modelled by Theodor Madsen. The figurine has a calm, lively expression with a slightly tilted head, a dark mask on the face and a small curly tail, which gives it plenty of personality. The soft shapes and the glossy glaze highlight the fine interplay between the light body and the darker details around the head and paws.

It is precisely the lifelike and simple way of depicting the animal that makes the figurine so appealing. Theodor Madsen is known for his animal figurines, and here the sure sense for both anatomy and temperament is evident. The puppy appears curious and a little thoughtful at the same time, which gives the figurine a warm and homely character. It works beautifully as decoration in the living room, on a shelf or in a collection of Royal Copenhagen figurines and other classic animal figurines in porcelain.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also has a special charm that fits well into a home where one appreciates design with history. Used quality objects like this are made to last and deserve to be enjoyed for many years to come. It is therefore also an obvious choice for the collector, for the dog lover or as a personal gift with both character and Danish design tradition.

This Royal Copenhagen dog figurine is a fine example of how a small porcelain figurine can add warmth and individuality to the décor. It can stand alone as an atmospheric feature or be combined with other porcelain figurines to create a more personal display with classic Danish design language.
