Royal Copenhagen Siamese cat figurine no. 2862, Th. Madsen

Royal Copenhagen Siamese cat figurine no. 2862 is a classic porcelain figurine with a calm and attentive expression. The cat is modeled in a relaxed, lying position with its head raised, upright ears and an alert gaze, which gives the figurine life and personality. The light body is beautifully balanced with darker markings on the face, ears, legs and tail, which emphasize the characteristic Siamese appearance.

The figurine is designed by Theodor Madsen, who is known for his lifelike animal figurines for Royal Copenhagen. Here, the lines are soft and well-balanced, so the cat appears both elegant and present. The smooth underglaze gives the surface a fine depth and a glossy finish, which makes the muted shades stand out beautifully. It is a porcelain figurine that suits both the collector of Royal Copenhagen figurines and those who want a cat figurine with classic Danish design language.

A Siamese cat like this works beautifully on the shelf, on the desk or as part of a still life with other porcelain figurines and smaller art objects. It is also an obvious gift idea for the cat lover or for the collector who appreciates older quality design with history. Exactly this type of porcelain figurine is made to last and can be given new life in a modern home, where it adds warmth, character and personality.
