Royal Copenhagen Siamese cat figurine 3281 or 142, 19 cm

Royal Copenhagen Siamese cat figurine no. 3281, also known as no. 142, is a classic porcelain figurine with the calm and alert expression that has made cat figures from Royal Copenhagen sought after among both collectors and cat lovers. The figurine was modeled by Theodor Madsen and depicts the seated Siamese cat with an upright posture, pointed ears and an attentive gaze that gives the figurine life and personality.

The light body stands in beautiful contrast to the darker areas on the face, ears, legs and tail, which emphasize the breed's characteristic appearance. The surface has the glossy, deep effect associated with Royal Copenhagen's porcelain figurines, and the underglaze-decorated finish gives the colors a calm and durable depth. The form is simple and precise, yet full of presence, and that very balance helps make the figurine so decorative in both classic and modern homes.

As a cat figurine, it works well alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen. It is also an obvious gift for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain, Theodor Madsen's works or the Siamese cat's distinctive expression. Older porcelain figurines like this carry both history and craftsmanship with them and are a beautiful choice for you who would like to decorate with design that has already proven its durability through generations.

It is a figurine that not only decorates, but also adds warmth, personality and a touch of Danish design history to the room. The seated position and the attentive head give a lively expression, so the figurine is experienced differently depending on where it is placed and how the light falls on the glaze.
