Mother with child Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 300-3551 in faience

This Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 300-3551 depicts the motif mother with child in a calm and heartfelt composition. The figurine brings together soft shapes and an intimate expression, where the mother bends protectively toward the child. This gives the figurine a quiet warmth, making it ideal for those who appreciate porcelain figurines and ceramic figurines with a human and timeless motif.

In the expression, simplicity and emotion are united. The light faience creates a fine contrast to the hand-painted details in brown and violet shades, which are seen in the hair and in the decorative fields on the back of the figurine. The rounded lines give the figurine an almost sculptural character, and that is precisely what makes it suitable both as a collector's figurine and as a decorative figurine in the home interior.

Mother with child is a motif that never loses its significance. The figurine fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as a personal detail in the home, where it adds warmth, presence, and history. It can also be an obvious gift idea for a mother, for a christening, or for a collector of Royal Copenhagen figurines with human motifs.

Older design objects like this faience figurine have a special charm because they carry craftsmanship and storytelling onward to new homes. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a beautiful way to appreciate existing quality and give classic Danish design new life in a modern interior.
