Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 4670 Seated boy and girl

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 4670 depicts a seated boy and girl in a quiet, intimate moment. The two children sit close together absorbed in what they are holding between their hands, and the motif has a calm and recognizable atmosphere of childhood, immersion and shared experiences. The figurine appeals to collectors of Danish porcelain figurines, but also to those who are fond of classic child figurines with warmth and humanity.

John Galster has created a composition in which body language and facial expressions are central to the figurine's expression. The girl sits with crossed legs in a light blouse and blue skirt, while the boy leans in towards her in a blue top, light knee socks and short trousers. The soft shapes and the subdued blue and white shades emphasize the calm motif and give the figurine the characteristic, timeless expression that many associate with Royal Copenhagen porcelain.

It is a porcelain figurine that works beautifully as decoration in the living room, bookcase, display cabinet or on a shelf, where the fine details come into their own. The motif of the two children also makes it an obvious gift idea for someone who collects child figurines, Danish design and classic porcelain art. At the same time, older figurines like this are a meaningful way to carry quality and history forward in the interior. Choosing porcelain with history is also a sustainable choice, where fine craftsmanship is allowed to live on and create joy in new homes.

For collectors, the figurine number is an important part of the identification, and no. 4670 makes it easier to find this particular model among Royal Copenhagen's many beloved figurines. A charming figurine with a motif that still feels intimate and relevant.
