Royal Copenhagen dachshund dog figurine no. 850 in porcelain

Royal Copenhagen dachshund dog figurine no. 850 in porcelain is a classic porcelain figurine with a motif that immediately evokes recognition among both dog lovers and collectors. The sitting dachshund is modelled with the breed's characteristic long body, short legs and large drooping ears, and the expression is calm, alert and full of personality. The figurine has a natural weight and an almost intimate presence that makes it more than mere decoration.

In the pictures, a dachshund can be seen in dark grey-brown shades with lighter areas at the muzzle, chest and paws. The glossy underglaze gives the surface depth and highlights the soft transitions in the modelling. The head, eyes and broad paws in particular are executed with great sensitivity to the breed's expression, and the sitting posture gives the figurine a credible and lifelike appearance.

As a dog figurine in porcelain, this model combines the decorative with the collectable. Royal Copenhagen is known for figurines in which animals are depicted with both respect and character, and dachshund no. 850 is a fine example of exactly that. It fits beautifully in a display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection of porcelain figurines and animal figurines. At the same time, it is an obvious gift for dachshund owners or for anyone who is fond of classic Danish porcelain.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add warmth, history and personality to the home. It is the type of decorative art and collector's item that is created to last a long time and to be appreciated again and again. Choosing a figurine with history is also a beautiful way to bring quality design further into a modern home.
