Royal Copenhagen Basset Hound figurine no. 750 Allan Therkelsen

The Basset Hound figurine no. 750 from Royal Copenhagen is a charming porcelain figurine that captures the breed's calm expression, long ears and characteristic low body shape. The figurine is made with soft transitions in brownish, golden and white shades, which give the dog life and personality and make it easily recognizable to both dog lovers and collectors of Danish porcelain.

Allan Therkelsen has with a steady hand created a dog figurine where proportions and attitude tell the story almost on their own. The friendly snout, the heavy ears and the low, elongated body give the figurine a natural and down-to-earth expression, which fits beautifully into both classic and more modern homes. As a Royal Copenhagen figurine, it simultaneously has that special combination of precision, craftsmanship and decorative calm that makes porcelain figurines so sought-after.

This dog figurine in porcelain comes from Royal Copenhagen's series of mini dogs and is according to the existing product text 1 of a series of 12 puppies. This makes it extra interesting for collectors, but also ideal as a small gift for someone who is fond of Basset Hound, dog figurines or Danish design with character. It is lovely on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or together with other animal figurines, where it adds warmth, humor and personality.

Older figurines and collectibles like this have a special ability to bring history and soul into the decor. That is precisely part of the joy of porcelain created to last through generations: to give beautiful craftsmanship new life and let it continue as part of the home for many years to come.
