Bing & Grøndahl Skye Terrier dog figurine no. 2133, 16 cm

Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2133 depicts a seated Skye Terrier with a calm, attentive expression and a characteristic long coat that falls softly around the body. The figurine has a fine balance between naturalism and stylization, and the raised snout gives the motif life and personality. For collectors of Danish porcelain and dog figurines, it is a model that immediately evokes recognition.

The seated Skye Terrier is made of porcelain with underglaze, which emphasizes the soft transitions in the figurine's surface and the calm nuances associated with classic Bing & Grøndahl figurines. The form highlights the breed's long lines, the short legs and the full coat, so that the figurine appears both harmonious and true to the motif. It is precisely the type of porcelain figurine that fits well in a collection of animal figurines, but which can also easily stand alone in the decor on a shelf, in a display bowl or on a desk.

A dog figurine like this appeals both to those who are fond of terriers and to those seeking older Danish design with warmth and presence. It also works well as a gift idea for a dog lover or as a personal element in the home, where it adds classic charm and narrative. When choosing porcelain figurines with history, one simultaneously chooses a piece of craftsmanship created to be preserved and appreciated for many years.
