Royal Copenhagen Boy with Teddy Bear figurine no. 5652

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 5652, Boy with Teddy Bear, is a porcelain figurine with a warm and recognizable motif from the world of childhood. The figurine shows a boy sitting on a stool with his teddy bear held close to him, and it is precisely this calm, intimate contact between child and soft toy that gives the figurine its special expression. It is a children's figurine that appeals to both collectors and those who appreciate classic Danish porcelain with humanity and storytelling.

The motif is finely balanced with soft shapes and a quiet, thoughtful expression. The boy is depicted in light shades with a natural posture, where the legs are stretched forward while the arms embrace the teddy bear. The small stool supports the everyday and homely character of the scene, and together the details create a figurine that radiates security, closeness, and childhood memories.

The figurine is designed by Sterett-Gittings Kelsey and made in porcelain with underglaze, which emphasizes the classic craftsmanship for which Royal Copenhagen is known. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and children's figurines, this model is an obvious choice, both because the motif is easy to appreciate and because figurine number 5652 makes it easy to identify. It fits beautifully into a collection of human figurines, but also works on its own as a personal detail in the home.

A porcelain figurine like this can be placed in the display cabinet, on a shelf, or on a small table, where its calm motif is allowed to come into its own. It is also an obvious gift idea for someone who collects Royal Copenhagen, children's figurines, or classic porcelain art. At the same time, older designs with history are a meaningful way to carry lasting qualities and good craftsmanship forward into a modern home.
