Bing & Grøndahl cat figurine no. 2515 or 515 sitting grey kitten

This sitting grey kitten from Bing & Grøndahl has a calm and attentive expression, which makes the figurine easy to love. The small kitten sits upright facing the viewer, and the grey painting is combined with light areas that give the motif depth and a soft, natural interplay. It is a porcelain figurine that fits beautifully among classic cat figurines, Danish porcelain and smaller collectibles with animals as the motif.

Bing & Grøndahl is known for porcelain figurines with vividly modelled animals, and the cat figurines in particular are popular among collectors. Here you get a figurine with the classic B&G expression, where form and glaze work nicely together. According to the existing item text, the figurine is executed in underglaze, which supports the calm colour expression and the smooth surface. The figurine is registered as no. 2515 or 515, which is important information for both collectors and customers looking for a specific model.

A cat figurine like this is ideal on the windowsill, on a shelf or as part of a small arrangement with other animals in porcelain. It also works well as a gift idea for a cat lover or for the collector who is fond of older Bing & Grøndahl figurines. Used porcelain figurines with history add personality to the home and are at the same time a fine choice for those who appreciate good craftsmanship and the joy of letting classic quality objects live on in a contemporary interior.

The discreet size and the calm motif make the figurine easy to combine with both other cat figurines, blue-and-white porcelain pieces and more simple, Nordic interiors. A small figurine like this can seem quite present in the room and add a quiet charm without taking up too much space.
