Bing & Grøndahl The little fine lady no. 533 or 2533

The little fine lady from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a charming and theatrical expression that immediately brings to mind play, fantasy and dressing up. The figure depicts a little girl dressed as a fine lady in a long blue dress, a large light hat, light gloves and with a bag over her arm. The upturned face and the upright posture give the figure a lively expression, which makes it an obvious choice for collectors of child figurines and classic porcelain figurines.

This figurine belongs to the series Børnenes Fantastiske Verden, also known as The Make Believe World of Children, created by Carl Lomoupo. The series is known for its children in imaginative roles, and precisely The little fine lady is a good example of the storytelling and role play that make the series so recognizable. The clear blue shades in the dress, the wide hat and the small fashion-inspired details emphasize the motif as a dressed-up girl with great personality.

The figurine is made of porcelain and decorated in underglaze, which gives the surface the depth and sheen that many collectors associate with classic Bing & Grøndahl porcelain. As a vintage porcelain figurine, it also has a special appeal in a modern home, where older design objects add soul, history and a more personal expression. This is precisely part of the joy of choosing porcelain with history: preserving good craftsmanship and allowing it to gain new life in the interior.

The little fine lady can stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a small table, but it also works beautifully together with other figurines from the same series. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, Royal Copenhagen related series, child figurines and dressed-up porcelain figurines, this is a motif with both nostalgia and character.
