Royal Copenhagen sleeping baby figurine no. 030 white porcelain

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 030 depicts a sleeping baby in a calm, curled-up position, where the entire motif exudes peace, closeness and quiet warmth. The white porcelain figurine is shaped with soft lines and fine transitions, which give the motif a natural and lifelike expression. The child's head rests against the small arms, while the body is gathered in a secure sleeping position that makes the figurine both touching and timeless.

The simple white porcelain lets the form speak for itself. Here, it is not colors or strong decorations that dominate, but the modeling itself and the gentle rendering of the child's body and posture. This gives the figurine a pure and classic expression that fits beautifully into both modern and more traditional interiors.

The figurine is designed by Allan Therkelsen for Royal Copenhagen and made in porcelain with underglaze. As a child figurine, it has a special ability to create atmosphere in the home, whether it is placed on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a small collection of porcelain figurines. The motif also makes it an obvious gift idea for a christening, maternity gift or for someone who is fond of classic baby figurines and Danish porcelain design.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they combine fine craftsmanship with a world of motifs that still speaks to us today. Choosing a figurine with history is also a beautiful way to give enduring quality objects new life. A Royal Copenhagen baby figurine like this adds personality, calm and a touch of Danish design tradition to the home.
