Royal Copenhagen Troll Grandmother with mouse no. 092

Troll Grandmother with mouse no. 092 from Royal Copenhagen is a charming troll figurine with lots of personality. The figurine depicts an elderly grandmother troll with glasses, scarf, and cane, while a little mouse curiously stands by her side. The motif is warm and narrative, and it is precisely the kind of figurine that makes the Troll family so beloved among collectors of Danish porcelain and figures with humor and character.

Sven Vestergaard has created a figurine where the expression is carried by the small details: the slightly stooped posture, the round glasses, the kind face, and the mouse's attentive gaze up toward grandmother. The colors are kept in soft shades with a green top, light headscarf, and a multicolored skirt in, among other things, brown, pink, and blue tones. Together, this gives the figurine a lively and recognizable expression that fits beautifully into both a display cabinet for figurines, a collection of troll figurines, and a personal interior with Danish design.

The porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, which emphasizes the classic quality for which Royal Copenhagen is known. The Troll family has for many years held a special place among collectors because the figures unite fantasy, glimpses of everyday life, and solid craftsmanship. Grandmother with mouse is therefore an obvious choice for you who are seeking a Royal Copenhagen troll figurine with a clear motif, figure number, and an expression that stands out on the shelf.

A figurine like this is also a lovely gift idea for the collector, for the one who is fond of adventurous figures, or for the home where decorative art and porcelain are welcome to have both history and soul. Older porcelain figurines like this bring something personal into the interior and are at the same time a beautiful example of how good design can be preserved and bring joy for many years to come.
