Royal Copenhagen Dollhouse figurine no. 290 Toys Sven Vestergaard

Royal Copenhagen dollhouse figurine no. 290 is a charming porcelain figurine from the Toys series, created by Sven Vestergaard. The motif gathers much of what makes classic toy figurines so sought-after: a small house with a red roof, chimney and a view into a cozy interior, where you see an armchair, a small table and an oval wall mirror. The figurine has a calm and homely expression that brings to mind childhood play, miniature worlds and nostalgic Danish design.

It is precisely the contrast between the house's simple exterior and the fine interior decoration inside that gives the figurine life. The soft shapes and the hand-painted details emphasize the story for which the Toys series is known: small porcelain figurines with imagination, warmth and a distinct toy universe. The red roof surface, the light walls and the small pieces of furniture make this Royal Copenhagen figurine decorative both alone and together with other figurines from the same series.

As part of the Toys collection, the dollhouse is ideal for collectors who wish to expand or complete the series. At the same time, the figurine also works beautifully on its own, for example on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a small detail in the home décor, where it adds personality and storytelling. It is a porcelain figurine that appeals both to collectors of Royal Copenhagen and to those who are fond of miniature houses, classic design and figurines with a playful motif.

Sven Vestergaard's design language suits this type of figurine well, where simplicity and storytelling go hand in hand. That the figurine is made of porcelain and decorated in underglaze emphasizes the quality and the lasting character that many associate with Royal Copenhagen. A figurine like this can be an obvious gift idea for collectors, for the design enthusiast or for anyone who appreciates small artistic objects with soul.
