Bing & Grøndahl falcon figurine no. 1531 Dahl-Jensen porcelain figurine

Bing & Grøndahl falcon figurine no. 1531 is a characterful porcelain figurine that unites calm, strength, and lifelike observation in a simple and effective expression. The falcon stands upright on its base with its body gathered, the claws clearly defined, and the head turned slightly to the side. The light appearance and the erect posture give the figurine a concentrated presence that immediately catches the eye in the room.

The motif was created by Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen, who is known for his convincing animal figurines and his sure eye for anatomy and character. Here, the bird's form is kept clean and harmonious, while the calm stance emphasizes the bird of prey's alert nature. The subdued underglaze suits the figurine beautifully and highlights the soft transitions in the plumage without appearing heavy or overworked.

As a porcelain figurine from Bing & Grøndahl, this falcon speaks directly to collectors of Danish bird figurines, porcelain art, and works by Dahl-Jensen. It fits beautifully as a standalone figurine on a shelf, on a chest of drawers, or in a display cabinet, where its vertical form and calm expression are allowed to stand out. It can also be combined with other animal figurines and bird figurines in porcelain if you want a collection with nature motifs and classic Danish design.

Older porcelain figurines like this one have a special ability to add personality and history to the home. They are created with a quality and a design language that still endure, and that is precisely why they are also an obvious choice for those who would like to decorate with original objects with soul. Choosing vintage porcelain is at the same time a beautiful way to give fine craftsmanship new life in a contemporary home.

Falcon figurine no. 1531 is also an obvious gift idea for collectors, bird enthusiasts, or for someone who is fond of classic Bing & Grøndahl porcelain. A porcelain figurine with a calm expression, strong form, and lasting appeal.
