Bing & Grøndahl bulldog figurine no. 1676 in stoneware by Dahl-Jensen

Bing & Grøndahl bulldog figurine no. 1676 is a characterful dog figurine with a calm, alert expression and a strong, compact body shape. The figurine depicts a small bulldog standing with an upright posture, short legs and a raised tail, modelled with an eye for the breed's distinctive physique and temperament. The dark variations in the glaze emphasize the figurine's lively surface and give it a warm, decorative character.

The model was designed by Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen for Bing & Grøndahl, and his animal figurines in particular are known for combining naturalism with a sure sense of movement and personality. Here, the bulldog is not made heavy or stiff, but appears present and full of attitude in a format that makes the figurine easy to place on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of Danish dog figurines and classic Nordic design. The stated technique for this version is stoneware, and the figurine's number 1676 is an important identification for collectors and for those seeking precisely this model.

It is a figurine that is well suited both to the dedicated Bing & Grøndahl collector and to you who would like to decorate with smaller design objects with character. A bulldog figurine like this works well on its own as a distinctive little eye-catcher, but can also be combined with other animal figurines in porcelain and stoneware to create a personal display with Danish design and craftsmanship at the centre.
