Bing & Grøndahl dachshund pair figure no. 1861 19 cm

Bing & Grøndahl dachshund pair figure no. 1861 is a characterful dog figure in porcelain, depicting two dachshunds in a natural and lively composition. One dog lifts its head upward, while the other has its snout lowered toward the ground, and precisely that interaction gives the figure a fine sense of movement, curiosity and breed character. The long bodies, short legs and soft lines make the motif easily recognizable to anyone who is fond of dachshunds and classic animal figures in porcelain.

The figure contains the calm, lifelike formal language that many collectors associate with Bing & Grøndahl. Here, the focus is on the animal's anatomy and temperament rather than exaggeration, and the result is a porcelain figure with both warmth and personality. The elongated shape makes the figure suitable on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a chest of drawers, where the two dogs can be seen as a little story in themselves. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, dog figures and Danish porcelain, it is a motif with great appeal.

As an older porcelain figure, the dachshund pair also has the special quality that it brings history and soul into the home. Quality figures in porcelain are created to last, be appreciated and be passed on through generations, and precisely for that reason vintage decorative art is a beautiful and sustainable choice. A figure like this adds personality to the décor and fits both on its own and together with other animal figures or classic porcelain objects.

The stated underglaze technique supports the classic expression and makes the figure interesting for both collectors and dog lovers seeking a dachshund figure in porcelain with documented item number. It is also an obvious gift idea for someone who is fond of dachshunds, Danish design history and porcelain figures with motifs from the animal world.
