Bing & Grøndahl budgerigar figurine no. 2210 by Svend Jespersen

Bing & Grøndahl budgerigar figurine no. 2210 is an atmospheric bird figurine with a calm and lifelike expression. The slender budgerigar is designed seated on a small branch, and the blue shades give the figurine a subdued, harmonious character that fits beautifully into both classic and more modern homes. The motif has the fine blend of simplicity and character that makes Danish animal figurines popular among both collectors and those who simply appreciate good design.

The figurine is designed by Svend Jespersen, who is known for his lively and keenly observed animal motifs. Here, the budgerigar's upright posture, long tail, and calm pose are rendered with a confident hand, giving the figurine personality without seeming exaggerated. It is precisely the type of Bing & Grøndahl figurine many look for when they want a decorative bird figurine in Danish design with a classic expression and a clear connection to the Nordic porcelain and stoneware tradition.

A budgerigar figurine like this is ideal in a display cabinet collection, on a shelf, in a still life, or as a gift for a bird lover, collector, or lover of older Danish design. Vintage figurines with history and soul add something personal to the décor, while also being a sustainable choice because beautiful craftsmanship is allowed to live on and be appreciated anew. It works well on its own, but can also be combined with other bird figurines or animals from Bing & Grøndahl to create a more cohesive story in the décor.
