Bing & Grøndahl Children with turtle figurine no. 2277

Children with turtle from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a calm and narrative motif, where two children are gathered around a turtle. The figurine conveys presence, curiosity, and the quiet attentiveness that often characterizes classic children's figurines. The motif has a warm humanity that makes it ideal for both collectors of B&G figurines and for those who are fond of porcelain figurines with life and atmosphere.

The fine arrangement between the children and the animal gives the figurine a natural and lively expression. One figure sits close to the other, and both bend toward the turtle in a scene that exudes childhood, play, and wonder. It is precisely this type of motif that has made Bing & Grøndahl known and sought after among collectors of Danish porcelain, where everyday moments are brought forward in small sculptural narratives.

The porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, a technique associated with classic porcelain craftsmanship and giving the surface a harmonious and lasting expression. As figurine no. 2277, it is easy to identify for collectors seeking specific model numbers from Bing & Grøndahl. It fits beautifully in a collection of children's figurines, animal figurines, and other vintage porcelain figurines, but can also stand alone in the decor on a shelf, in a display cabinet, or as a personal detail in the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this contain both history and character. They are created to be preserved, delight new generations, and carry classic Danish design forward into a contemporary home. Therefore, Children with turtle is also an obvious choice if you are looking for a gift with soul or a sustainable find with lasting value.
