Bing & Grøndahl reclining girl figurine no. 475 or 2314

This porcelain figurine from Bing & Grøndahl depicts a reclining girl in a calm and dreamy moment. The figure rests on her back with bent legs and raised arms, where she holds a flower wreath above herself. This gives the motif a light and poetic mood, which makes the figurine ideal for those who are fond of classic child figurines in porcelain and Danish figurative art with soft, organic forms.

The expression is simple and at the same time very vivid. The smooth white porcelain emphasizes the figurine's clean lines, while hair, hands, feet and flower wreath are modeled with fine details that give the motif character. The figurine has a harmonious formal language, where the child's relaxed posture and the small wreath create a feeling of play, summer and innocence.

The artist is Ebbe Sadolin, who is known for his figurine models with a natural and human expression. Here you get a Bing & Grøndahl figurine that fits beautifully into a collection of B&G child figurines, but which also works well on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a personal interior with porcelain and Danish design. The white glaze makes it easy to combine with both classic and modern home styles.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special presence. They bring history, craftsmanship and personality into the home and are at the same time a sustainable choice for those who wish to preserve and use quality objects created to last for many years. The figurine is also an obvious gift idea for collectors or for someone who appreciates vintage porcelain with soul.
