Bing & Grøndahl The little Gardener figurine no. 2326

The little Gardener from Bing & Grøndahl is a porcelain figurine with a motif that immediately evokes recognition and warmth. The little girl stands bent over her watering can, absorbed in her task, as if she were in the middle of a quiet moment in the garden. The figurine combines childlike seriousness with the simple poetry of everyday life, and that is precisely what makes it a charming children's figurine for collectors and for those who are fond of classic Danish porcelain.

The motif is finely observed and vividly modelled. The girl is dressed in blue overalls over a light blouse, and her hair is done in small braids. In her hand she holds a white watering can, and the entire pose gives the figurine movement and narrative. It is a figurine that makes you want to explore it, because it contains both calm, presence, and that special atmosphere of childhood and the joy of the garden.

The figurine is designed by Vita Birgitte Thymann and made in porcelain with underglaze, which helps give the surface its soft glow and harmonious colours. Bing & Grøndahl is known for figurines with strong modelling and great human warmth, and that is clearly felt here. The little Gardener is therefore an obvious choice for the collection of B&G figurines, children's figurines, and classic Danish design porcelain.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also has an extra dimension. Reuse of quality products with history is a beautiful way to decorate personally, and figurines exactly like this bring soul into the home. It fits nicely in a display cabinet collection, on a shelf, or as part of a quiet arrangement with other porcelain figurines in Nordic style. It is also an obvious gift idea for collectors or for someone who is fond of gardens, childhood motifs, and Danish porcelain with character.
