Bing & Grøndahl sleeping rice bird figurine no. 2361

This Bing & Grøndahl bird figurine no. 2361 depicts a sleeping rice bird in a calm and introspective posture, with the head gently laid down against the wing. This gives the figurine a quiet expression, making it ideal for those who appreciate classic porcelain figurines with a nature motif and a design language that appears harmonious in the interior.

The coloration appears subdued and full of character with light grey nuances, white areas and dark sections, which highlight the bird's shape and plumage. The small base elevates the figurine nicely and gives it an overall sculptural expression. As a porcelain figurine, it has both the smooth surface and the precise modelling that many collectors and design enthusiasts associate with Danish porcelain from Bing & Grøndahl.

It is a figurine that fits beautifully in a collection of bird figurines, but it also works well on its own on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a discreet detail on a desk or a side table. It is also an obvious gift idea for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl, for the bird lover or for the person who appreciates porcelain with history and personality. Older porcelain figurines like this one bring both craftsmanship and soul into the home and are at the same time a beautiful choice for those who would like to give lasting quality objects new life.
