Bing & Grøndahl cat figurine no. 527 or 2527, 5 cm

This small cat figurine from Bing & Grøndahl has a calm and attentive expression, which makes it easy to notice, even in a smaller size. The figurine depicts a sitting cat with an upright posture, light glaze tones and fine, hand-painted details around the face, paws and eyes. It is precisely the simple form and the gentle gaze that give the figurine its special presence and make it a charming feature in the décor.

As a porcelain figurine in underglaze, it carries on the classic Bing & Grøndahl tradition with a focus on soft shapes and a lifelike animal motif. The light-coloured cat fits beautifully among other cat figurines, on a shelf with Danish design or as a small solitary figurine on a desk, bookcase or in a display cabinet. For collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines, figurine no. 527 or 2527 is a fine model to know, not least because the smaller animal figurines often have a special place in collections of Danish porcelain.

The modest size also makes the figurine an obvious gift for a cat lover or for you who appreciate porcelain with history and personality. Older figurines like this are created to be kept, used and appreciated for many years, and they add an atmosphere to the home that new production rarely captures in the same way. Here you get a small Bing & Grøndahl cat figurine that combines classic Danish porcelain with a motif many are fond of.
