Bing & Grøndahl swallow figurine 7033 in stoneware

This swallow from Bing & Grøndahl is an atmospheric stoneware figurine with a calm and natural expression. The bird is modelled seated with its head slightly raised, as if it is just about to call, and the motif gives the figurine life and movement. The dark upper side, light belly and the warm reddish-brown neck create a fine contrast, while the long tail emphasizes the swallow's characteristic silhouette.

The figurine is made of stoneware and appears with the particular materiality and weight that make this type of Danish ceramics so sought-after. The base is shaped as a simple, architectural structure with blue-green leaf forms around the plinth, which gives the figurine both decorative fullness and a distinct artistic character. It is well suited to those seeking a Bing & Grøndahl bird figurine, a stoneware figurine with a bird motif or Danish ceramics with character and history.

The current product text states that the figurine is designed by Karl Otto Johansen, and model number 7033 makes it easy to identify for collectors and connoisseurs of Bing & Grøndahl stoneware figurines. As an older design object, it contains both craftsmanship quality and the special charm that arises when good design is allowed to live on in new homes. The figurine is ideal as an eye-catcher on the shelf, on the windowsill or as a gift for a bird lover, ceramics collector or anyone who appreciates Danish design with soul.
