Bing & Grøndahl The Little Mermaid figurine - the H.C. Andersen series

The Little Mermaid is one of H.C. Andersen's most beloved fairy tales, and in this Bing & Grøndahl figurine the story's quiet melancholy and dreamy atmosphere are captured in porcelain. The figurine shows the mermaid seated with a slightly bent body, long flowing hair and a sea-green tail, which emphasizes the motif's fairy-tale-like and poetic expression. It is a porcelain figurine that immediately evokes associations with Danish fairy-tale tradition, classic design and the joy of collecting.

In the H.C. Andersen series, Bing & Grøndahl unites literature and porcelain art in a motif that appeals both to collectors and to those who appreciate figurines with story and character. The soft lines, the calm posture and the hand-painted surface give the figurine life and depth, so that it appears harmonious from several angles. The light glaze in interplay with the muted green shades in the tail gives a calm, Nordic expression that fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors.

This figurine is issued in a limited quantity of 2500 numbered copies, which makes it especially interesting for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl porcelain, H.C. Andersen figurines and Danish fairy-tale figurines. Precisely the combination of well-known fairy-tale motif, limited edition and hand-painted porcelain makes the model an obvious choice for anyone seeking a figurine with both decorative value and collecting potential.

As a vintage porcelain figurine, it also carries the special charm that comes with fine craftsmanship created to last. Older figurines with history add personality to the home and are a sustainable alternative to new production. The Little Mermaid fits nicely on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other fairy-tale figurines and classic Danish porcelain. It is also an obvious gift idea for the collector, for the fairy-tale enthusiast or for anyone who appreciates Danish cultural heritage in porcelain.
