Søholm pigeon figurine in ceramic 1983 - item no. DG3626

This pigeon from Søholm is a ceramic bird figurine with a calm and present expression that makes it easy to place in the home. The form is simple and cohesive, but the decoration gives the figurine character: the dark brown glaze is broken up by light areas on the wings, where the plumage is marked with distinct, incised details. This creates a lively play on the surface and emphasizes the bird's soft, rounded silhouette.

Søholm is a name many associate with Danish ceramics and Bornholm design, and this pigeon fits beautifully into that tradition. The figurine has a natural, earthy colour expression in brownish and cream-coloured shades, which makes it suitable for both classic and more modern interiors. It works well on its own on a shelf, in a bookcase, or on a small side table, but can also be combined with other ceramic figurines, stoneware, or Nordic decorative art for a personal still life.

As an older Søholm figurine, it also contains the special charm that comes with design and craftsmanship created to last. Choosing vintage ceramics is an obvious way to add soul and history to the home, while at the same time giving a quality product new life. A bird figurine like this is also an obvious gift for collectors of Danish ceramics, for those who are fond of bird motifs, or for you, who are looking for a small decorative object with warmth and personality.

In short, it is a Søholm bird figurine that unites decorative expression, Danish ceramic tradition, and a motif that never goes out of style.
