Bing & Grøndahl family figurine mother, father and baby no. 8834

This porcelain figurine from Bing & Grøndahl depicts a warm and everyday family motif with mother, father and baby gathered in a close moment. The mother is seated with the child on her lap, while the little one reaches its arms up toward the father, who stands beside them with a pipe in his hand. It is a figurine with presence, movement and a story that one immediately understands - a quiet picture of family life, care and togetherness.

The motif is executed with many fine details in posture and expression. The child's lively movement, the mother's calm gaze and the father's protective presence give the figurine character and life. The father is dressed in a light blue hat, light shirt and deep blue trousers, while the mother wears a headscarf, dark bodice and light pink skirt. The colours emphasize the figurine's classic expression and make it decorative both as a porcelain figurine, collector's figurine and as personal décor with history.

Bing & Grøndahl is known for porcelain with storytelling and a strong formal language, and this family figurine no. 8834 is a good example of exactly that. The figurine fits beautifully into a collection of older porcelain figurines, children's figurines or family motifs, but can also stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or on a chest of drawers, where it adds warmth and personality to the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they carry both craftsmanship and history forward into a modern home. It is a beautiful way to choose quality with soul while also giving a classic design object new life. The figurine would also be an obvious gift idea for a collector or for someone who is fond of porcelain figurines with family, children and everyday scenes as the motif.
