Royal Copenhagen fox figurine 1327 Christian Thomsen "Privat KH"

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 1327 depicts a sitting fox with an alert and almost questioning expression. The large upright ears, the pointed snout and the softly curved tail give the figurine a distinctive and lively presence, making it a striking feature in the collection or the interior. The colour scheme is kept in light sand and cream-coloured shades with fine transitions, which underline the naturalistic design language.

The figurine is modelled by Christian Thomsen, who is known for his strong animal depictions for Royal Copenhagen. Here the fox is rendered in a calm sitting position, but with its head raised and its gaze directed upward, giving the figurine both springiness and personality. The glossy surface and the underglaze-decorated porcelain finish highlight the model's soft lines and the fine details around the face, chest and tail.

This is a Royal Copenhagen animal figurine that appeals both to collectors of Danish porcelain and to those seeking a decorative figurine with history and soul. Older porcelain figurines like this bring craftsmanship, originality and lasting quality into the home, and they work beautifully both alone and together with other animal figurines or classic porcelain objects. A fox figurine like this fits beautifully in the display cabinet, on a shelf or as a personal gift for a collector with an interest in Royal Copenhagen, Christian Thomsen or nature motifs.

On the underside, the model's number "1327" can be seen as well as the handwritten text "Privat KH", which is an important part of this specific figurine and its identification. The existing registration links the model to the period 1931-1935, which further underlines the figurine's collector interest.
