Royal Copenhagen deer pair stoneware figurine no. 21449 Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen deer pair stoneware figurine no. 21449 is a characterful animal figurine with a calm and lifelike expression. The figurine shows two deer gathered closely on a modeled base with vegetation, where one stands with its head raised and antlers, while the other turns gently toward its companion. The motif has a fine balance between movement and stillness, which gives the figurine life from all angles.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal depictions, and here his sure eye for form, posture and mood is evident. The surface has a lively play in the glaze with brownish and light shades, which emphasize the figurine's organic character and suit the motif beautifully. This makes this Royal Copenhagen figurine an obvious choice for collectors of Danish stoneware, animal figurines and classic design with nature as inspiration.

A deer pair like this adds warmth and personality to the interior. It works beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a decorative detail on a sideboard, where the figurine's formal language and glaze can truly come into their own. The figurine is also an obvious gift idea for someone who is fond of Royal Copenhagen, Knud Kyhn or older Danish decorative arts with soul and history.

Older stoneware figurines often have a particularly present character, precisely because they are created with a focus on form, material and durability. Choosing a figurine with history is at the same time a beautiful way to bring sustainability and timeless craftsmanship into the home. This deer figurine unites collector's value, Danish design tradition and nature-inspired decorative joy in one and the same object.
