Royal Copenhagen Siamese cat figurine 2872 Theodor Madsen 22 cm

Royal Copenhagen Siamese cat figurine no. 2872 is a porcelain figurine with a lively and observant expression, capturing the cat's playful movement in a way that feels both calm and full of energy. The figurine is modelled by Theodor Madsen, who is known for his lifelike animal figures, and this is clearly expressed here in the tense posture, the curved tail and the focused gaze down toward the floor.

The slender Siamese cat is made of porcelain with underglaze decoration. The light cream-coloured surfaces transition into darker grey-brown shades on the head, ears, legs and tail, and the blue eyes give the figurine extra character. From every angle, the model appears harmonious and well-balanced, and it is precisely that movement in the body that makes it a cat figurine you keep looking at. It is a Royal Copenhagen figurine that appeals both to collectors of Danish porcelain and to those who simply love cats and classic Scandinavian design.

As a porcelain figurine, it looks beautiful on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a personal collection with other animal figurines from Royal Copenhagen. It also works well as a gift idea for a cat lover or for someone who appreciates older quality design with history. Choosing a figurine like this is at the same time a way of giving lasting craftsmanship new life in the home. Here you get a piece of Danish design tradition that still has presence and personality many years after it was created.
