Royal Copenhagen Boy with football figurine no. 5657

This Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 5657 depicts a boy with a football in a ????? and recognizable moment from the world of childhood. The figurine stands with his hands on his hips and the ball placed at his feet, as if he is just taking a break in the middle of play or concentrating before the next kick. The motif has a natural everyday atmosphere, which makes the figurine both charming and easy to love.

The porcelain figurine is made in underglaze and has the classic, clear color scheme that suits Royal Copenhagen's figurine tradition so well. The boy's blue jersey and socks stand beautifully against the light shorts and the light base, while the light football brings the motif together in a simple and harmonious way. The expression is subdued and lively at the same time, and the figurine's posture gives it a fine sense of movement and personality.

The artist behind the model is Sterett-Gittings Kelsey, and in this very figurine, sport, childhood and porcelain craftsmanship are united in a way that makes it interesting both for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for you who are looking for a child figurine with a motif from play and football. It is well suited as part of a collection of child figurines, sports figurines or classic porcelain figurines, but can also stand alone on the shelf, on the desk or in a display cabinet.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special ability to add soul and history to the home. They are created to last, to be cared for and to create joy for many years. Therefore, a vintage figurine like this is also a beautiful choice for you who appreciate good craftsmanship and would like to decorate with things that have already proven their value over time.
