Bing & Grøndahl rabbit figurine 1596 with drooping ears 11 cm

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 1596 depicts a rabbit with drooping ears, modelled with a calm and natural expression that makes the figurine easy to love. The soft body shape, the long ears and the low sitting position give the motif a quiet intimacy that characterises many of the classic animal figurines from Danish porcelain art. The light glaze with white and warm light brown areas emphasises the figurine's calm character and gives it a lively, lifelike appearance.

The figurine is designed by Jens Peter Dahl Jensen for Bing & Grøndahl, and his animal figurines in particular are known and appreciated for their assured design language and fine observation of the animals' movements and nature. Here, the rabbit has not been made animated or exaggerated, but appears close to nature with a gentle facial expression and long ears that fall softly down along the head. This makes figurine no. 1596 an attractive choice for collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines, but also for you who simply want a porcelain figurine with warmth and personality.

A porcelain rabbit like this fits beautifully in both classic and modern homes. It works well alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a grouped display with other animal figurines in porcelain. At the same time, it is a gift idea with lasting value for someone who appreciates Danish design, vintage porcelain and figurines with history. Older porcelain figurines like this are created to be preserved and used in the interior for many years, and they add a special soul to the home that only well-executed craftsmanship can.
