Dachshund figurine no. 1752 Bing & Grøndahl Dahl-Jensen

This dachshund from Bing & Grøndahl is a classic dog figurine with a calm and lifelike expression. The long body, the short legs and the soft, drooping ears give the figurine the characteristic silhouette that makes the dachshund so easily recognizable and beloved. The form is simple and harmonious, and it is precisely the subdued expression that makes the figurine suitable both as a collector's item and as a personal detail in the interior.

The figurine is designed by Jens Peter Dahl-Jensen, who is known for his vivid animal figurines. Here the dachshund is rendered with a fine balance between naturalism and decorative design language, so that the figurine appears both true to the breed and beautiful as a porcelain figurine. It appears as a piece of Danish design history, where the sense of the animal's anatomy and movement has been translated into a small sculpture with presence.

A Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine like this looks beautiful on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection of porcelain figurines and animal figurines. It is also ideal as a gift for the dog lover, the dachshund owner or the collector who is fond of older porcelain with history and soul. When choosing a figurine like this, one is at the same time choosing a piece of craftsmanship that is created to be preserved and appreciated for many years.

The current title and description point to figurine number 1752, and this is an important identification for collectors who are looking for precisely this model. The motif is a dachshund, and the figurine is described as executed in porcelain with underglaze, which supports its place among classic Danish porcelain figurines.
