Dahl Jensen dog figurine no. 1118 wire-haired fox terrier in porcelain

Dahl Jensen dog figurine no. 1118 depicts a wire-haired fox terrier with the alert, upright posture that makes the breed so recognizable. The figurine stands with raised tail, steady legs and the head slightly turned, giving it an attentive and lively expression. The white porcelain figurine is decorated with soft brown-grey areas on the head and body, which highlight the dog's distinctive form and give the figurine depth and character.

Jens Peter Dahl Jensen is known for his animal figurines, where anatomy, movement and temperament merge into a higher unity, and this is clearly seen in this fox terrier. The body is modelled with a taut, natural line, and the profile of the head with the characteristic muzzle gives the figurine a strong breed character. It is a porcelain figurine that appeals both to collectors of Dahl Jensen and to dog lovers who appreciate classic dog figurines with personality.

As an older porcelain figurine, it also carries the special charm that comes with fine craftsmanship created to last. Vintage porcelain adds history and soul to the home, and at the same time it is a sustainable choice to let beautiful quality objects live on in new surroundings. A dog figurine like this fits nicely in the display cabinet, on a shelf or as part of a collection with other animal figurines and porcelain figurines.

Figurine number 1118 is an important detail for collectors seeking this particular model. The combination of Dahl Jensen, Jens Peter Dahl Jensen and the wire-haired fox terrier motif makes the figurine interesting both as decorative porcelain and as a collector's item. It is also ideal as a gift for a terrier owner or for someone who appreciates Danish figurative art with lifelike motifs.
