Royal Copenhagen bull figurine no. 1195 - Knud Kyhn

Royal Copenhagen bull figurine no. 1195 is a striking porcelain figurine with great weight in its expression. Knud Kyhn has modelled the bull in a tense moment, where the head is lowered, the body works forward, and the entire figurine exudes strength and movement. This gives the figurine a vivid character, making it a natural eye-catcher in the interior.

The naturalistic design is emphasized by the hand-painted underglaze and the soft transitions between white, grey and dark areas. In the pictures, a powerful bull is seen with a muscular body, light horns and a tail carried in a rounded arc, placed on an oval base with greenishly modelled terrain. On the front of the base, the artist's signature "Kyhn" can be seen, adding an extra personal touch to the figurine.

As an animal figurine, this Royal Copenhagen figurine is a good choice for both collectors of Danish porcelain and for you who want a piece of classic animal sculpture with character. The bull fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a striking detail on a sideboard, where the calm colours and the strong form can have space. The motif also makes it ideal as a gift for collectors or for a home where craftsmanship and Nordic design are part of the style.

Knud Kyhn is known for his animal figurines, and it is precisely here that his sure eye for anatomy and movement is felt. The combination of porcelain, underglaze and the dynamic motif makes figurine no. 1195 a piece of Royal Copenhagen that has both decorative value and appeal to anyone seeking a classic figurine with collector interest.
