About the item

2026 Bing & Grondahl Mother's Day plate titled Japanese Snow Monkeys. The plate was designed by Allan Therkelsen.
The motif on this year's plate shows a Japanese snow monkey and her young, bathing in a warm hot spring. In the background, Japan's beautiful, snow-covered mountains can be seen, where the monkeys easily survive thanks to their thick winter fur. By coincidence, one of the macaques discovered how pleasant it is to bathe in the warm springs, and it has been popular among the monkeys ever since.
The Bing & Grondahl Mothers Day plates were started in 1969 and are still being continued with a new Mother's Day plate every year.
