1933 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, designed by Chr. Benjamin-Olsen, has the title The ferry Odin outside Nyborg harbour. Royal Copenhagen's 1933 Christmas plate depicts the steamship Odin, on its way to Nyborg, a town on the island of Funen. Odin was owned by the Danish State Railways and sailed as a ferry on the Great Belt, between Korsør on Sealand and Nyborg on Funen. The ferry carried,cars, railwaycars and passengers, and the journey took app. 75 minutes. This piece of Danish history disappeared with the the opening of the Bridge over the Great belt in 1998. Further to the ferry, the plate shows the Christmas star and in the background the city lights. Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate 1933 was only produced in 1933.
