The Mother's Day Plate was manufactured by The Porcelain Factory Désirée Denmark, also known as Désirée Denmark or Svend Jensen of Denmark, Old Copenhagen Blue. The plate shows the proud, mild and lovely mother whatching her small child in the cradle. This Mother's Day plate was designed by Nulle Oigaard and manufactured in underglaze. Désirée Denmark started the series of Mothers Day plates in 1970 and ended it in 1994. The motifs of all the Sven Jensen Mother's Day plates were inspired by events from the wonderful world of children.
