Royal Copenhagen boy with pumpkin figure no. 4539 or 153

This porcelain figurine from Royal Copenhagen depicts a boy sitting on a large pumpkin with a calm and thoughtful expression. The motif has a warm, narrative atmosphere, where childhood, season and everyday life meet in a simple composition. The soft shapes and the natural posture give the figure life, while the colors in blue, white and green emphasize the classic expression that many collectors and porcelain lovers appreciate.

The figurine is modelled by J. M. Nissen and made in porcelain with underglaze, which gives it the smooth surface and the clear, durable color effect. The boy is rendered in blue overalls and a white shirt, sitting with his hands resting on each side of the pumpkin. The green pumpkin with darker stripes adds character to the motif and makes the figurine decorative from every angle.

As a child figurine from Royal Copenhagen, this model combines figurative craftsmanship with the calm, Nordic porcelain tradition. It fits beautifully in a collection of child figurines, older porcelain figurines or Danish design with history. At the same time, it is a figurine that can easily stand alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as a personal detail in the decor, where it adds soul and a touch of nostalgic storytelling to the home.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special value because they are created to be preserved and bring joy through generations. Choosing vintage porcelain is also a way to give fine craftsmanship new life. For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines, the item number is important, and this model is known as figure no. 4539 or 153.
