Bing & Grøndahl Else figurine no. 404, old no. 1574

Else from Bing & Grøndahl is a classic porcelain figurine with a calm and recognizable expression, which has made the series with Else and Jens beloved among collectors through generations. Here the girl is seen standing in a white dress with a pink trim, small discreet dots and a matching bonnet, which gives the figurine a gentle and period-typical character. The small bag at the side emphasizes the narrative motif and adds personality to the figurine.

The figurine is modeled by Ingeborg Plockross-Irminger, who is known for her child figurines with presence, warmth and a fine eye for life's small moments. It is precisely this combination of natural posture and gentle details that makes Else figurine no. 404 a sought-after collector's item within Danish porcelain. The white and pink color scheme also makes it easy to place in the home, where it fits beautifully on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a larger collection of Bing & Grøndahl figurines.

The porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, a technique that is valued for its durability and its calm, harmonious expression. For collectors, both the figurine number and the old B&G number are important pieces of information, and this model is known as no. 404 as well as old no. 1574. This makes it easier to identify if you are looking for a specific edition of the Else series.

Older porcelain figurines like this carry both history and craftsmanship. They add soul and character to the home and are a beautiful choice for those who appreciate vintage porcelain and would like to give classic Danish design new life. The figurine is also an obvious gift idea for collectors or for anyone who is fond of Bing & Grøndahl, child figurines and porcelain with history.
