Royal Copenhagen Karen figurine no. 272 - young girl with daisies

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 272, Karen, is a poetic porcelain figurine from the Romantic Young series, where the youthful, dreamy expression takes center stage. The figurine depicts a kneeling young girl with daisies, wearing a light dress with a dark blue trim at the shoulders. In her hand she holds a daisy, while another flower is placed in her hair, giving the motif a light and summery touch.

The expression is quiet and present. The girl's slightly turned head, the soft treatment of the hair, and the calm posture create a figurine with warmth and personality. The daisies add a natural and romantic motif that fits well with both classic and modern interiors. It is a porcelain figurine that works beautifully on its own, but can also be combined with other figurines from the Romantic Young series.

The design was created by Allan Therkelsen for Royal Copenhagen, and the figurine is executed in underglaze. This gives the surface depth and a calm color effect that suits the motif nicely. The Romantic Young series is known for its youthful human figurines with a soft and atmospheric design language, and Karen is a good example of precisely that universe.

This Royal Copenhagen figurine is ideal for you if you collect porcelain figurines, human figurines, or figurines from Romantic Young. It is also an obvious gift idea for someone who appreciates Danish design, porcelain with character, and figurines with a romantic motif. As a collectible and decorative art, it adds a calm narrative and a personal expression to the home that remains beautiful over time.
