Royal Copenhagen Karen figurine no. 008 Romantic Young

Karen from Royal Copenhagen is a porcelain figurine with a calm, poetic expression that fits beautifully into the romantic Young series. The figurine depicts a young girl kneeling on the floor with a slightly turned upper body, a flower in her hand and another flower in her hair. The dotted dress in white with blue decoration and the dark blue ruffled edge give the figurine a classic, soft and very recognizable expression that speaks directly to collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and Danish design porcelain.

Allan Therkelsen has created a figurine where posture and details work nicely together. The raised arm, the slightly lowered gaze and the relaxed seated position give Karen a thoughtful and lively character. The motif of the young girl and the daisies adds a light, summery atmosphere to the figurine, and the blue-white color scheme makes it easy to place in both modern and more classic homes.

As part of the Romantic Young series, this Royal Copenhagen figurine appeals to those who are fond of porcelain figurines with personality and storytelling. The underglaze decoration supports the clean and durable expression that many associate with good Danish porcelain. The figurine is ideal as an eye-catcher on a shelf, in a display cabinet or as part of a collection with other human figurines from Royal Copenhagen.

Karen is also a fine gift idea for anyone who appreciates design, porcelain art and figurines with a romantic atmosphere. At the same time, it is a type of quality figurine that is created to be preserved and appreciated for many years. Precisely older and newer design figurines in porcelain add soul and personality to the home and are a beautiful alternative to more transient interior decoration.
