Royal Copenhagen Theodor 2006 Teddy Bear of the Year figurine

Theodor from 2006 is a charming Royal Copenhagen figurine that brings warmth, playfulness, and collector's joy into the home. The little teddy bear stands with a raised arm and a bouquet of flowers in his hand, as if he is on his way with a loving greeting. This gives the figurine a lively and friendly expression, making it ideal both as a collector's figurine and a decorative porcelain figurine for a shelf, display cabinet, or children's room.

The motif is full of storytelling. Theodor is dressed in a blue and white striped sweater and light shorts, and the soft shapes emphasize the cozy atmosphere that characterizes Victor & Victoria's family. The figurine is designed by Sheilah Beckett, who is known for creating figurines with personality and a recognizable, narrative expression. Here you get a figurine that works beautifully on its own and as a natural part of a larger collection.

As the Teddy Bear of the Year 2006, Theodor also has a special interest for collectors of Royal Copenhagen figurines and for those who follow the Victor & Victoria series. The figurine can be an obvious addition to an existing collection or a good beginning if you are fond of bear figurines, porcelain figurines, and classic Danish design with a playful touch. The underglaze-decorated surface also gives the figurine the familiar porcelain expression that many associate with Royal Copenhagen.

Older figurines like this one have a special ability to add soul and history to the home. That is precisely part of the joy of choosing porcelain with a past: beautiful craftsmanship that can still create joy today and find new life in a modern interior. Theodor is also a lovely gift idea for the collector or for someone who is fond of teddy bear motifs and classic figurines with a gentle and human expression.
