Royal Copenhagen cat in basket figurine no. 656

Royal Copenhagen figurine no. 656 depicts a relaxed cat that has made itself comfortable in a woven basket. The motif has a calm and homely atmosphere, which makes the figurine ideal for those who appreciate classic animal figurines in porcelain and Danish design with a soft, naturalistic expression. The cat lies sprawled with its front paws over the edge of the basket, while the tail falls down along the side, and the light blue cushion gives the motif extra life and depth.

The porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, which emphasizes the fine craftsmanship associated with Royal Copenhagen. The subdued shades of grey, white, beige and blue give the figurine a harmonious expression that fits beautifully into both classic and modern homes. It works well alone on a shelf, in a display cabinet collection or as part of a larger arrangement with other animal figurines and porcelain objects.

This Royal Copenhagen cat in basket appeals both to collectors of porcelain figurines and to cat lovers who want a decorative figurine with personality. The motif is easily recognizable and charming without seeming overdone, and that is precisely what makes it suitable as a gift idea for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain, decorative art and figurines with warmth and storytelling. A figurine like this adds something calm and human to the room and is at the same time a fine example of how small porcelain figurines can create character in the interior.
