Royal Copenhagen nativity scene stable donkey figure no. 028

The stable donkey from Royal Copenhagen is an atmospheric figure for a nativity scene, where the calm posture and the soft shapes add presence and warmth to the display. The figure is designed as a resting donkey with upright ears and a gentle expression, which fits beautifully into the classic story of Christmas night in the stable.

The grey and white shades give the figure a calm and lifelike character, which suits both traditional and simpler Christmas displays. It is precisely the animals that help make a nativity scene come alive, and this donkey creates a fine balance between the other figures in the series. It is a porcelain figure that functions both as part of a complete Royal Copenhagen nativity scene and as a decorative collector's item in itself.

For collectors of Royal Copenhagen figures, the stable donkey figure no. 028 is an obvious choice when the nativity scene needs to be supplemented or recreated with the right parts. The motif has a classic calmness about it, and the low, resting position makes the figure suitable close to the manger, where it supports the peaceful Christmas story without drawing attention away from the whole.

Older figures and Christmas decorations with history have a special ability to create personality in the home year after year. A nativity scene in porcelain is at the same time a beautiful example of quality design that can be brought out every Christmas and become part of the family's own traditions. The stable donkey is therefore both a fine addition to the collection and a meaningful gift idea for anyone who loves classic Christmas decorations, porcelain figures and Royal Copenhagen.
