Bing & Grøndahl gosling figurine no. 1548 Dahl Jensen 9 cm

This Bing & Grøndahl gosling figurine no. 1548 is a small porcelain figurine with a calm and lifelike expression. The motif depicts a resting gosling, modelled with soft, rounded shapes, small wings along the side and a beak in a subdued pink tone. The light glaze and the simple colour scheme give the figurine a quiet presence, making it ideal both for the collector of bird figurines and for those who appreciate classic Danish porcelain.

The figurine was created by Jens Peter Dahl Jensen, who is known for his lively animal motifs and his sure sense of proportions. Here, the expression is simple, yet effective. The gosling is depicted in a relaxed posture, where the compact body and the slightly turned head give the figurine personality. The fine underglaze supports the soft design language and highlights the discreet details in the modelling.

With its modest size, this Bing & Grøndahl figurine is easy to place in a bookcase, in a display cabinet or on a shelf, where it can stand alone or be included in a collection of other bird figurines and animal figurines in porcelain. It also works well as a gift idea for a collector, for a bird enthusiast or for someone who appreciates Danish design and classic craftsmanship.

Porcelain figurines like this have a timeless quality that makes them easy to incorporate into today's interior design. The calm shape and the light shades go well with both traditional and more simple, modern surroundings. It is precisely the type of decorative art and collector's item that adds character to the home without taking up too much space.
