Bing & Grøndahl Scottish Terrier dog figurine no. 2170 7,5 x 9 cm

Bing & Grøndahl dog figurine no. 2170 depicts a seated Scottish Terrier with the characteristic, attentive expression that makes the breed so easy to recognize. The figure is modeled with an upright posture, pointed ears and a raised tail, and the simple form gives the motif a calm and precise expression. It is a porcelain figurine that appeals to both dog lovers and collectors of classic Danish animal figurines.

The fine underglaze highlights the terrier's coat and body shape in a discreet and harmonious way. The color scheme appears subdued and classic, and that is precisely what makes the figurine easy to place in the home, where it can stand on a shelf, on a desk or as part of a collection with other Bing & Grøndahl figurines. A Scottish Terrier has plenty of personality, and that is captured well in this model, which balances between naturalism and simple, timeless form.

For collectors, figurine number 2170 is an important detail, because it makes the model easy to identify. For others, it is first and foremost a decorative dog figurine in porcelain with the special charm found in older quality design that still holds up both visually and in terms of craftsmanship. It is also well suited as a gift for a dog owner, a Scottie enthusiast or for someone who appreciates Danish porcelain with history and character.

Choosing a figurine like this is also a fine way to give an existing quality object new life. Classic porcelain figurines from Bing & Grøndahl add personality and soul to the home, and they work beautifully in both traditional and more modern interiors.
