Bing & Grøndahl Boy with dog figurine no. 2331

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2331 depicts a boy with a dog in a calm and intimate motif that captures the close contact between child and animal. The figurine shows the boy standing close to the dog with his hand gently placed over its head, and it is precisely this simple gesture that gives the porcelain figurine warmth and life. The motif speaks to collectors of child figurines and to those of you who are fond of classic figurines with story and personality.

The expression is quiet and natural, and that makes the figurine easy to place in the home, where it can create atmosphere in the display cabinet, on a shelf, or together with other porcelain figurines from Bing & Grøndahl. The combination of child and dog gives the motif a timeless charm that fits beautifully into both classic and more personal interior design. It is also a figurine that will appeal to dog lovers and collectors of animal figurines with a human motif.

The porcelain figurine is made in underglaze, a technique that is known and appreciated for its durability and for the soft, harmonious surfaces that suit this type of figurine well. Bing & Grøndahl is a name many associate with Danish porcelain and figurines of high craftsmanship quality, and figurine no. 2331 is a fine example of precisely that tradition. Older porcelain figurines like this contain both history and lasting value, and at the same time they are a sustainable choice when beautiful craftsmanship is allowed to live on in new homes.

This boy with dog figurine is ideal as a gift for a collector, for someone who is fond of classic Danish porcelain, or as a personal detail in the home. It can stand alone as a small narrative motif or be included in a larger collection of child figurines from Bing & Grøndahl.
