Bing & Grøndahl The little Hairdresser figurine no. 2367 Vita Thymann

Bing & Grøndahl figurine no. 2367, "The little Hairdresser", captures a warm and recognizable moment from childhood play. The motif shows a girl and a boy gathered closely on the floor, where the boy plays hairdresser and gently touches the girl's hair. It is a children's figurine with presence and narrative, created with an eye for the small movements and the concentration that make the scene come alive.

The figurine is modeled by Vita Birgitte Thymann and has the characteristic calm and humanity that make Bing & Grøndahl's children's figurines so beloved among collectors. The soft shapes, the calm faces, and the close contact between the children give the porcelain figurine a quiet expression, which fits beautifully into both classic and modern interiors. The blue and white shades emphasize the figurine's traditional B&G atmosphere, while the light hair and skin tones add warmth and depth.

As a porcelain figurine in underglaze, it is both decorative and a fine example of Danish figurative art, where motif and craftsmanship merge into a higher unity. "The little Hairdresser" especially appeals to collectors of Bing & Grøndahl figurines, children's figurines, and porcelain figurines with everyday scenes. At the same time, it is ideal as a gift for anyone who loves Danish design, nostalgic motifs, and figurines with personality.

Older porcelain figurines like this have a special charm because they bring history and soul into the home. They are created to be preserved and appreciated through generations, and that is precisely why vintage porcelain is a beautiful and sustainable choice. A figurine like this can stand alone on a shelf, on a chest of drawers, or together with other B&G figurines, where it adds softness, narrative, and collectible value.
